    The Wesley Covenant Prayer

“I am no longer my own, but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee,
exalted for thee or brought low for thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things
    to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God,
    Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth,
let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.”

Covenant Prayer Between Two Prayer Partners

Lord, I lift up _________________ before You with a grateful heart, acknowledging that You have joined our lives for Your purpose and glory. Today, we enter into a holy covenant; to pray for one another each day, to lift each other’s burdens, and to celebrate each other’s victories.

Father, we commit to stand together in faith. When one is weak, let the other be strong. When one is discouraged, let the other speak life. When one is rejoicing, let the other rejoice with them. Bind our hearts in unity, humility, and love.

We promise to pray faithfully; to bring each other’s needs before You, to intercede with compassion, and to ask for Your grace and mercy daily in each other’s lives. Let our prayers be a covering, a shield, and a source of strength.

Holy Spirit, guide our words, shape our hearts, and keep us sensitive to one another’s needs. Help us walk in grace, forgiveness, and understanding. Let this covenant deepen our friendship and draw us closer to Jesus.

Lord, may this partnership bear fruit; fruit of encouragement, fruit of spiritual growth, fruit of answered prayers, and fruit that brings glory to Your name.

We seal this covenant before You today, trusting that as we pray for one another, You will work in us, through us, and around us. Make us faithful. Make us steadfast. Make us one in purpose and love.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen.
