Service for Dave Lewis
A service to celebrate the life of Dave Lewis will be at 12:30 PM on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in the sanctuary of New Grace Church with Rev. Matt Turner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
Join Our Ministry Team
New Grace Church (Abbeville, SC) is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Youth Leader to invest in the lives of our middle and high school students. If you have a heart for discipleship, a desire to see young people grow in their faith, and the ability to create engaging, meaningful ministry experiences, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role:
The Youth Leader will guide students in their walk with Christ through weekly gatherings, Bible studies, discipleship opportunities, and special events. This position focuses on building relationships, teaching God’s Word, and creating a safe, welcoming environment where students can encounter Jesus and develop lifelong faith.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead weekly Sunday School Class, Sunday Evening Youth Service, and Wednesday night Bible Study.
- Attend Sunday Morning Worship Service.
- Plan and coordinate youth events, retreats, mission projects, and outreach activities.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and their families.
- Provide spiritual guidance, encouragement, and pastoral care.
- Recruit and support youth ministry volunteers.
- Communicate regularly with parents and church leadership.
- Maintain safe, organized, and Christ-centered ministry environments.
Qualifications
- A growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Passion for youth ministry and discipleship
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to connect with students and build trust
- Experience in youth ministry (preferred but not required)
- Willingness to serve 15 hours a week, including evenings and weekends
Salary: $13,000 a year
