News Statement from New Grace Church
So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.” – Genesis 22:14
New Grace Church of Abbeville is thankful and excited to announce that the House of Refuge Church of God has graciously made a way for our congregation to use the property at 300 Whitehall Street starting March 30, 2026, during the interim period of purchasing the property. We praise God for His provision and for the spirit of generosity and Christian unity demonstrated by the House of Refuge Church during this important season of transition.
This act of kindness beautifully reflects the loving connection within the Body of Christ. It shows how churches can work together, support each other, and be a blessing to one another in advancing the Kingdom of God. We are truly grateful for this partnership and the unity it symbolizes.
New Grace Church also wants to express our deepest appreciation to the City of Abbeville for allowing us to use the Civic Center as our place of worship over the past year. Their kindness and support have been an incredible blessing to our church family, and we are sincerely grateful for the role they have played in helping us carry out our mission and ministry.
Beginning March 30, our church will start assessing the new location and taking the first steps toward making it our new home. That initial week will focus on setting up the essentials, as we plan to use the church for small-group Bible studies and Holy Week services. This time will allow us to prayerfully and thoughtfully transition into the church space while honoring the sacred significance of the season.
We are especially excited to announce that our first official Sunday worship service at 300 Whitehall Street will be on Easter Morning, April 5, 2026. We can think of no better day to celebrate new life, resurrection, and fresh beginnings as a church family.
As we move forward, New Grace Church remains dedicated to sharing the gospel, serving faithfully, and living out our calling to be “a people wanting to know Jesus more and make Jesus known.” We invite our community to join us in prayer as we enter this new chapter and thank God for His continued guidance, provision, and faithfulness.
