An important part of the 1>99 initiative is celebrating God’s work and salvation, emphasizing that the most important decision is to accept Jesus Christ. It encourages celebrating daily blessings (Psalm 118:24), giving thanks for what God has done (Luke 17:11–19), and rejoicing when someone who was “lost” returns (Luke 15:11–32). We are also warned against responding like the older brother in the parable of the lost son by discouraging new believers. We are called to be a people to speak truth in love, share testimonies, and publicly celebrate God’s ongoing work so others can believe.
